Bryan Highhill is a musician based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Besides his own projects, he is currently active playing trumpet and other things with the Hennepin County Millionaire's Club, Black Market Brass, the folks over at Secret Stash Records, PaviElle, as well as other various groups and projects.
Lumpy Recordings is writing, recording, mixing and production by Bryan Highhill. It is an output for Bryan's original music as well as friends, other related projects and various work for hire. Some of the other bands Bryan has worked with include Baker London, Todd and the Fox, The Red Daughters, Ryan Sheffield, Dear Data, White Dads, The Gated Community, Grolar Bears, and more.
Bryan has written and recorded 6 full-length albums as well as other various EPs. The first three full-lengths were released under the name "Bryan Rock". They came out in very limited numbers between 2004 and 2007.
After that Bryan recorded 2 full-length albums under the moniker "Lumpy". The second full-length Lumpy album "Life, Man" was awarded "Best Pop Album" at the 2012 New Mexico Music Awards. The first Lumpy album "From Wilderness Cove" was a nominated finalist for "Best Pop Album" at the 2010 New Mexico Music Awards. Lumpy also got 2 nominations in the 2011 New Mexico Music Awards. First was "Best Pop Song" for the song "Worn-Down Verbal Storms" and "Best Instrumental" for the song "Corlogy". Both of which were released on "Life, Man".
Most recently Bryan released an instrumental album titled "Ellsworth" (2013).

Bryan has also written music for promotional and underwriting announcements as well as various show and theme music for KSFR Santa Fe Public Radio. Shows include theme music for "Moonwise" with Merrylin LeBlanc, game show theme music on "Mouth Of Wonder" with Stacy Pearl, theme music for the "What's At Stake" series and other radio specials produced by Martha Burk, and theme music/various music for "Seriously Funny" a comedy radio series written by Ron Bloomberg.
